Energetics of our food
"You are what you eat"
What we eat and what nurtures us has two distinct sides, the material and the energetics. We do a good job of materializing everything, almost to the point of digression. We reduce things all the way down to isolated compounds and disregard the rest, failing to realize that there is a complex system that likely works together. I have come to understand that the things we consume and surround ourselves with are energetic imprints in addition to the material, that send signals to our system that are equally important to say iron, calcium etc.
With this thought it's hard to look at our food systems the same. While I actually very much admire the productivity and efficiency of commercial agriculture, you have to wonder what the energetic imprint of the material produced through that system communicates to our bodies.
